Accounts Payable Analyst

Job Description

The AP Analyst will be responsible for performing day to day accounts payable transactions, account reconciliations, researching and resolving account discrepancies. The Analyst will work with the Lead to research and resolve aged account issues. This role will drive the growth and transformation of the AP department to match the evolving needs of the Company. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills. The AP Analyst will report to the AP Manager.

What you'll do:

  • Reconciling incoming vendor invoice discrepancies
  • Respond to internal and external AP inquiries
  • Prepare analysis of vendor accounts
  • Assist with managing vendor relationships
  • Recommend and complete actions to resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives
  • Review processes to insure proper general ledger account coding
  • Assist on monthly reconciliation and closing of accounts payable sub-ledger
  • Assist in month-end and weekly reporting preparation

The qualifications you must have:

  • SAP software required
  • At least 5 years progressive Accounts Payable experience
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Self-motivated, strong work ethic and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with varying levels of management and staff
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate efficiently and effectively with parties both internally and externally
  • Ability to embrace hands-on work in a rapidly changing, fast-paced growth environment
  • Able to effectively manage and prioritize critical deadlines
  • Works well under pressure of deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Our preferred qualifications:

  • Business or accounting degree
  • Experience with AP Automation
